Mary Beth Buchanan
Board Member
Mary Beth Buchanan is the Chief Legal and Policy Officer for Nexum Capital, Inc., is a technology leader, with deep experience counseling fintech and blockchain companies. Previously, she was the President of the Americas and Global Chief Legal Officer at Merkle Science; Chief Legal Officer at Bitstamp; General Counsel at Kraken; a Partner with Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner in the firm’s white collar and securities litigation group, and chair of the firm’s digital currency team. Earlier in her career, Mary Beth served as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Pennsylvania, bringing extensive experience in white-collar defense, SEC enforcement, and corporate compliance.

Andreas Eschbach is a proven expert in technology, enterprise, and compliance risk audits, having advised global clients at PwC for 22 years, including 15 years as Managing Partner responsible for PwC Europe’s IT-Audit and technology assessment practice. With an early background as a software engineer and founder of a software company, he has leveraged his technical expertise in over 50 countries, focusing on technology audits, financial services, M&A, and forensics for nearly two decades. In 2016, he entered the realm of blockchain and smart contract audits, further expanding his field of practice. Today, he is an independent consultant, advising boards and executive teams on technology, business scaling, and global expansion and offers interim Management support services.
